The National Viola Competition next November makes not only our students work very hard, but we teachers have to practice the whole program as well. For me new is the Lutoslawski Bocolics, a few of the Bach pieces, some of the Hoffmeister Studies and Bax concert piece. And then we have to wait for the new piece of Garth Knox, like Lutoslawsi for viola and cello.
So all teachers, have fun practicing again. When is our competition?
Next to my musical movements I take some time to be in my pottery workshop. This gives me some rest of music. Last Sunday, one of the warmest ever in February, I placed together with my husband Jan a Chimney Dragon on the roof of the pottery workshop. Just watch and listen to the Humoresque of Adam Gorb.
Yes, you can find already much more on my website. I still have to learn more, but my session with Maaike van Kempen got me in the right direction.
Next time I will fill in my diary so you will know were to find me!
For now I will go upstairs to spend the rest of this Sunday with my husband and cats. Perhaps some knitting?
